Kimberly Richardson, MS, GPC

kimberlyKim Richardson is the President of Kimberly Richardson Consulting, LLC, a for-profit consulting
firm specializing in the provision of federal grant writing services, grants management assistance, training, and technical assistance to municipal agencies, non-profits, and other grant eligible With over 18 years of grant writing and grants management experience gained from working in
the non-profit and public sectors, Kim has successfully secured funding from every segment of the grant-making community, including government agencies, corporate funders, and foundations.

Since 2000, she has provided assistance resulting in over $35 million in grant funding. She has also provided critical management assistance to municipal agencies receiving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and other federal grants valued at over $30 million.

Kim holds a Bachelor’s degree from Baldwin-Wallace College in Ohio and a Master’s of Science in Urban Affairs from Cleveland State University. In 2009, she became the first grant writer in the State of Alabama to obtain the Grant Professionals Certification (GPC) awarded by the Grant
Professionals Certification Institute, and she is currently the only grant professional in the state holding this credential. She is President of the Alabama Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the local chapter of the Association of
Fundraising Professionals.
