Raised in a suburb of Atlanta, GA, Katrina Watson is a Major Gifts Officer for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Inspired by her friends and family who continuously have upbeat attitudes, Katrina has an intrinsic desire to live life to the fullest. If given the opportunity to travel back in time, Katrina notes how inspirational it would be to meet Harriet Tubman because she escaped her chains and then risked her life to help others do the same. Today, Katrina helps free young women of their chains of low self-esteem/self-worth and helps them to see the worth they have in Christ. Katrina’s community involvement includes Rotaract, Sisters/Chaverim, Threads, Catalyst, Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, and the Birmingham Urban League Young Professionals.
When she isn’t spending time with her husband Lyord, playing Prolific and serving her church and community, you can find her hanging out with her natural hair girls, reading, sleeping, and talking with family.
